Randy shares what he’s learned about suffering and trusting in God in the valleys of life. “By God’s grace I had the experience of contemplating His attributes … that was huge to me. It’s fine for us to ask the [why] question – I think we make the mistake when we fail to listen to His word for the answers.” Randy calls us to, “put our ear to God’s Word” when we’re wrestling with difficult times, whether they come from our own sinful choices or from spiritual warfare. “God is above Satan, over Satan, even uses the things Satan does to bring about the ultimate good of His children.” Randy acknowledges the mystery involved in the sovereignty of God but calls us to believe it and trust in it. “If you ever lose perspective, as we all do from time to time, sit down and just contemplate the words of God to Job – ‘Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?’”
