Every argument for abortion which appeals to a woman’s inconvenience, stress, and financial hardship can be made just as persuasively about her two-month-old, her two-year-old, her teenager, her husband, or her parents. In many cases older children are more expensive and place greater demands on their mother than an unborn child. People immediately recognize those arguments as invalid when it comes to killing older children. So why not the unborn?

Some Christians may think, “Believers don’t have abortions, only un-churched people do.” This simply isn’t true.

Like many others, I deeply loved John Stott, his books and his contribution to the church of Christ. I really appreciated what he had to say about unborn children.

While we should rightly mourn and decry the deaths of those killed in the shooting, we also shouldn’t forget the countless unborn children who have lost their lives to abortion. In a consistent pro-life worldview, all human lives matter.
