In this blog, our goal is to provide biblically relevant information and resources to examine related to the COVID-19 vaccines. Because of the long history of fetal tissue research that I believe is entirely unethical, I approach this subject with great seriousness.

“Abortion or misery” is a binary trap that keeps women from pursuing—and society from providing—positive alternatives. It’s a terrible thing to present pregnant women with inadequate choices, leaving them in an apparent no-win situation.

Sadly, as Randy notes in the book, the pro-choice movement now sometimes (or even often) acknowledges that the unborn are living and growing. But the idea is that unborn children aren’t people.

Many Christians and even some pastors have told me, “It’s cruel to bring up the subject of abortion.” But by talking about abortion in our churches—with grace and truth—we will prevent abortions and offer forgiveness and healing to women and men who are suffering in silence. Isn’t that an act of kindness both to unborn children and their parents?

I am in a discussion with a pro-choice proponent who is arguing that fewer abortions occur under a democratic government than republican due to funding for birth control, and that neither party wants to see abortions increase. How do I answer this argument?

If we believe the scientific fact that life begins at conception and an unborn child is just as precious as an older child—but at an earlier stage of development, smaller, and hidden away in her mother’s womb—then we understand that ending that child’s life is just as unthinkable and inhumane. Both the woman and her unborn child are worthy of protection.

To many people, Jesus’ words “Do not judge” mean never questioning someone’s choice of abortion, and love and compassion mean never trying to deter someone from considering abortion. In fact, many consider it “judgmental” even to say abortion is wrong.
