I don’t normally do the “flip the Bible open and put my finger down” method of reading Scripture. However, I used to mock that practice, and I don’t anymore. It’s certainly not my usual way of opening God’s Word each day, but one real positive is that no matter what, you’re still going to end up in the inspired Word of God.

One of the sharpest and most biblically grounded minds among evangelicals is Jen Wilkin. Not long ago she was a guest on Desiring God’s Ask Pastor John podcast, and was interviewed by Tony Reinke on the subject of Bible study.

One of my favorite bloggers is Justin Taylor, a brother who I know and deeply appreciate. Justin is constantly introducing me to great people, material and developments. Recently, he talked about a new Bible study series from Crossway Publishers.

Growing up, I loved family fun nights. Occasionally, the four of us played a game, watched a movie, or went out together in lieu of the normal evening at home. These nights had a way of bringing us closer by experiencing something different together. We discovered more about why we loved each other. Stories came up that might not have over just a weekday dinner table.

I love the Logos Scholar’s Library. It’s been great for years, and it’s improving  all the time.
