Abortion-survivor Gianna Jessen will be coming to my home church, Good Shepherd Community Church, and speaking this coming weekend, January 10-11, for an early Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.

Four days ago I watched a short film called "Volition" that is extremely powerful and well done. It's a great investment of fifteen minutes.

I knew from the first time I heard him speak that Obama was cool. And if the candidate I supported, for reasons of substance, also happened to be cool, that would be a nice plus. Then the sad day came. I checked out Obama's actual position on abortion and I was demoralized. 

It's now less than 6 weeks from the election. I have a few more blogs I want to do on the candidates, related to the prolife issue.

The protests of China as host of the Olympics come from a wide variety of people from many countries, on a variety of issues, ranging from Tibet to supplying arms to the corrupt government of Sudan in its genocidal war on Darfur (see previous post), to religious liberty.  

Sadly, last week China revoked the visa for Joey Cheek, Olympic gold-medalist and co-founder of Team Darfur, a coalition of 400 athletes from around the world speaking out about the atrocities in Darfur, Sudan.

Years ago in Washington, DC, I met a woman named Gianna Jessen, then a teenager. She sang at an event I was speaking at, and we had a delightful conversation. She is musically gifted and I found her a wonderful testimony to God’s grace.
