To say that the acknowledgement of the moral implications and aspects of abortion are “an offering of good will and common ground” sounds nice, but William Wilberforce and his fellow abolitionists were constantly told this by those who wanted to massage slavery and tweak it here and there and maybe improve the conditions a little on the slave ships.

I wonder how many children’s lives have been lost, how many women’s lives have been horribly scarred because church leaders feared the criticisms that would come from people if they allowed terrible pictures to be seen in the assembly. 

You may have an opportunity to influence that you otherwise wouldn’t. And I don’t just mean influencing those who are adamantly “pro-choice” who may never be swayed (though I know some who have been).
