I continue to be humbled and amazed at the ways that God has used the Heaven book. As our ministry continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the book’s release, we’re grateful for the notes we’ve received from readers sharing how the book has impacted their lives. Here are just a few of them. 

Readers' Respones to Grieving with Hope

The adult book would be good for a more voracious reader but could be overwhelming to some younger readers. It really depends on the student.

This is a great and important response to a reader who sent us a question about my novels, concerned about some of the language I chose to include in character dialogue.

I attempted my first novel, back in the 90s. To be honest, I made more mistakes in writing Deadline than any other fiction book I’ve written, not surprisingly, because the first house built will not be his best house if someone continues to build. And yet, God has really used that novel.

I’m excited that my children’s book Wait Until Then is once again available, reprinted by our ministry. It’s been almost 17 years since it was first published, but the story is timeless—it is just as applicable now as it was then.

Reader Aaron Fullan tagged me in an Instagram reel sharing why he appreciated my Heaven book after reading just one page into the preface. I was surprised!  

In this excerpt from my novel Dominion, the elderly character Obadiah shares his life memories, including about the Old Negro League. Researching these players was both fascinating and inspiring.

Certainly, there is nothing inappropriate in Randy’s books as far as being voyeuristic or graphic, and he presents evil as evil and what is good as good. But they do address mature topics.

Many Christians think about the present Heaven, where Christians go now when they die, but have never considered the future Heaven, after the resurrection, which will be a physical place occupied by physical people who will live forever with Jesus and all those who love Him.

I wrote 50 Days of Heaven by selecting the material most suitable from my book Heaven for a devotional, then rewriting it in a different style. Why write different sized books on one subject? Because they’re designed to reach different audiences with varying interests and preferences. 

At a celebration for his new book, The Promise of the New Earth, Randy shares some thoughts about grief and the eternal Heaven (the New Earth), and answers some questions related to the book.

In the last six months, perhaps partly because of Nanci’s cancer battle and homegoing, our ministry has heard more from people about the Heaven book than ever before, as well as about several of my other Heaven-related books. Hope you enjoy these letters from readers. They certainly encouraged me!
