Like many others, I deeply loved John Stott, his books and his contribution to the church of Christ. I really appreciated what he had to say about unborn children.

Over the years, I’ve found that it’s a common misconception even among Christians that the present Heaven, where Christians go when we die, is the same place we will live forever. 

Question from an eleven-year-old reader: Do you have any suggestions about how many words I should write in a day? I generally get 300 to 900 words on a good day.

I think joy in eternity will be the same sort of thing we know as joy and happiness and delight right now. But it will be purified and absolute in the sense that, as Paul says, right now we are “sorrowful yet always rejoicing” (2 Corinthians 6:10).

Nanci and I love The Valley of Vision, which is a collection of brief and profound Puritan prayers compiled by Arthur Bennett. This is the first entry in the book, but what follows is just as good.

I think you’ll be encouraged as you hear Spence and Tara Hackney share how sending their treasure on ahead has brought them such delight.

What could be more happy-making than knowing the God of happiness, who grants us eternal life and happiness in Christ?
