The Bible must be read as it was intended. There are so many different types of writing—historical narratives, apocalyptic (revelatory), wisdom literature, etc. Its cohesiveness is supernatural…no other book even comes close. From beginning to end it’s the story of God’s unending effort to bring humans back into relationship with Him.

Randy was a guest speaker at the university student session of the Kingdom Advisors conference in 2025. In addressing future financial counselors, he shares the story of the conversation between Jesus and the rich young ruler who asks Jesus how to receive eternal life. Randy talks about storing up treasures in Heaven and reminds listeners that our hearts follow our treasure.

We live in a time when we are defined as disabled, bipolar, alcoholic, ADHD, victims of lupus, cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and nearly everything else. Our condition easily becomes our primary reference point.

This issue is a huge controversy, and in searching online I did see some people identify me with the notorious (to them) “lordship salvation” position. To me, it is just the position that biblically informed Christians have always taken.
