Hebrews 12 speaks of the Heavenly City as apparently already existing in the present Heaven, but we don't know exactly how that works...

This heaven-focused book provided me more earthly applications than I could handle-from what to teach my children and how to spend my money, to what to dream about as I lay my head down at night. 

Scripture gives no indication of a “memory wipe” that will cause us not to recognize our loved ones and others we’ve known.
