God gave Lucifer a capacity of true free choice which involved the possibility of sin. And among those that translate word for word, the ESV is more literary and readable; the NASB is not quite as good English, but still accurate as a word for word translation. A person reading a passage looking for key terms that repeat, then a NASB would be better. If you are trying to understand the passage as a whole, then the ESV is better.

You asked about the relationship of “micro-evolution” to “macro-evolution.” As you may be aware, there are several different competing evolutionary models that attempt to explain questions of origins in naturalistic terms.

When we die we go to be with Christ (II Cor. 5:8) which is wonderful. But we are still incomplete, in a pre-resurrected state, anticipating Christ’s return to earth, and our resurrections. Question from a reader: Many people have questions regarding Heaven. How can you be sure that this depiction of Heaven [in your book Heaven] is the correct one?

1 Corinthians 5:10 is good in broad principle, saying we have to associate with the world since we’re in it. However, that is general association, not specific partnership.

I believe you are quite correct to say that you are hesitant to “invite darkness” by pursuing a perceived demon. This is an area of spirituality that no one should ever “pursue” out of curiosity.
